Straits Times “Life!”, “What’s On” 

Chinese Theatre Circle (CTC) will be conducting a Chinese Opera Course for children aged between 7 to 18 at its training premises at 7B Smith Street, Singapore 058919 (Chinatown)

The Course will commence on Sunday 6 January 2002 from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. Thereafter the course which comprises twelve (12) sessions each lasting one and a half hours, will be held on every Sunday afternoon at the same time and same place. 

The course will be conducted by MISS SEE TOO HOI SIANG, CTC’s lead actress, who has recently won the “Outstanding Young Person in the World in 2001 Award” for cultural achievement presented by the Junior Chamber International, a world community service organisation. Shre received the Award at a presentation ceremony held in Barcelona, Spain, on 7 November 2001. 

The course content includes basic operatic martial art skills, movements, and gestures. Trainees would have the opportunity to participate in Chinese Opera performance presented by CTC.

Fee for the course is $120.00 per student (Dollars One Hundred and Twenty Only). Course will be conducted in English/Mandarin.
